Indica Or Sativa
Whether you buy marijuana seeds in California or choose Cannabis seeds, both are exactly the same, simply called a different name depending upon your location. For many British and European’s, it’s Cannabis. For the majority of US residents it’s Marijuana. The seeds, plants and buds however, remain the same.
Indica and Sativa varieties do differ though, both in growing characteristics, and the effects they produce. Predominately, Indica marijuana plants remain shorter and more compact, producing fast-maturing, dense, sticky buds from multiple sites. Sativa strains however, tend to grow taller, requiring longer to completely flower and mature, producing larger, but less dense buds.
Their effects also differ, with Indica strains known for their relaxing, pain relieving ‘narcotic’ effects, while Sativa’s are usually associated with euphoria, creativity and energy. Originally, you would have to choose between one, or the other if you wanted to buy marijuana seeds in California.
Over the years however, many breeders have successfully incorporated both Sativa and Indica genes into the same plant, creating an explosion in new and exciting strains. Highly stable, these seeds incorporate selective traits to enhance a range of characteristics including speed of maturity, yield, quality, flavor and aroma.
Many of the most famous marijuana strains contain both Sativa and Indica genetics, as well as almost all modern, popular varieties. This makes them highly versatile and able to adapt to a wide range of both indoor and outdoor growing techniques.
