Sensi Seed Bank is one of the world’s oldest and longest established Cannabis and Marijuana seed banks, originally formed in 1986.
The owner, Ben Dronkers, had always had a passion for Cannabis and its genetics, travelling across many parts of the world collecting seeds from high quality local strains. In 1984 he turned his attention to breeding, and the beginnings of his collection was born.

In 1986 the companies opened their first, joint venture seed shop in Amsterdam, selling both sets of seeds, growing equipment, books and paraphernalia.
In 1991, Ben bought Sensi Seed Bank from the founder, and incorporated his Sensi Seed Club collection of high quality seeds into the catalogue. Later, in 2006, Ben also purchased one of the other long-established Amsterdam seed collections when he acquired The Flying Dutchman Seed Bank from Eddie, its founder.
